Oregon City High School

The Oregon City School District passed a $65 million bond in May 2000 for a new high school for 2,100 students. The project required the freshman class to be housed in an adjacent existing middle school during the first phase of construction. The design also incorporated 65,000 SF of the adjacent middle school which was renovated and upgraded. Significant design factors include classroom daylighting and operable windows, integrating an expanded curriculum into an adjacent middle school, a separate, securable building plan to serve academics and activities, cost effective, durable and low-maintenance interior and exterior materials, and creation of a new public presence at the front entry.
