SamFit and Samaritan Urgent Care Clinic
Located across from the existing Samaritan Lebanon Hospital, this new medical office clinic expands the services currently being provided in the existing hospital, offering services in urgent care, imaging, retail pharmacy, physical therapy, and cardiac rehabilitation. When lease negotiations with a potential tenant for this new building fell through, Samaritan decided to build their own fitness/physical therapy center instead, which allowed them to extend many of their treatment services from the hospital into this new facility. This innovative idea was the birth of “SamFit,” a state-of-the-art health and fitness center that has far surpassed enrollment expectations – they projected 300 members the first year, and surpassed 1,200 members before their first six months of operation. Since this all happened during construction, Soderstrom was able to complete full design and construction documents quickly enough to have this tenant improvement project bid and built in time for the rest of the building opening.
