Central Interstate Hematology/Oncology Clinic
The hematology/oncology clinic renovation was on the second floor of Kaiser Permanent’s Central Interstate Medical Office Building. Because of the need to upgrade and provide additional services, the existing clinic was expanded to 29 infusion bays, additional exam and counseling rooms, and laboratory services. Included in the remodel was an internal pharmacy with negative and positive pressure compounding rooms and an over-the-counter sales and distribution space.
Since the clinic remained in service throughout construction, an extensive phasing plan was developed to minimize the impact to patients and staff. Great care was taken to reduce the impact on this remodel on the fragile patients being served.
