Mike has an unusual breadth of work experience. His degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia followed a BA in Environmental Design from SUNY Buffalo. His career includes stints designing facilities for nuclear submarines, electronics cleanrooms, medical facilities, office buildings and apartments. He has been a facilities project manager for a Fortune 500 bank and a design-build contractor. He has always had a strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable design and in 2001 was one of the first professionals to obtain a LEED accreditation. Since joining Soderstrom in 2007, he has focused on higher education and has a passion for bringing the latest pedagogical and environmental research results into the design process.
