New Promotions
Posted in News — November 27, 2018
We’re pleased to announce three promotions this year, which reflect the importance of recognizing talented staff across the firm on our operations, architectural, and marketing teams. We hope you will join us in congratulating our new associates and senior associate.
Kay Harris, Accounting Manager
Promotion to Senior Associate
Kay Harris has more than 13 years of experience in her accounting career. For the last 11 years, Kay has worked for Soderstrom Architects as Accounting Manager. She is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s accounting tasks including accounts payable, payroll, billing and receivables. Kay has also been an integral part of Soderstrom’s community involvement initiatives, working to identify new volunteer opportunities and inspire staff to help our community.
I am pleased and honored to congratulate Kay on her well-deserved promotion. We have seen and benefited from Kay’s exemplary dedication to our firm. I know I speak for everyone when I say her professionalism, grace and steadfastness make her a pleasure to work with and an invaluable member our Soderstrom family.
– Dan Danielson, Managing Principal
Meagan Baker, AIA, LEED AP
Promotion to Associate
Meagan is a registered architect and a LEED Accredited Professional with over 12 years of design and planning experience. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University and has been a key player on Soderstrom’s K-12 team for the past five years. Meagan’s portfolio includes work for Woodburn School District, Portland Public Schools, and McMinnville School District. Currently, she is working on the new Meadow Ridge Elementary School for Greater Albany Public Schools. Meagan has an exceptional ability to think linearly and see the order in the architectural process, making her an invaluable asset in communicating with clients and the project team.
As an associate, I have three goals that really stand out. First, to build a connection and act as a conduit between architectural staff and the principals/partners. Second, to help facilitate office-wide initiatives that the entire staff would like to see. Third, to help build and elevate the culture of the firm and participation in firm-wide and community events.
Stephanie Doeing-Nicoletti, Marketing Manager
Promotion to Associate
Stephanie joined Soderstrom’s marketing team in 2016 and has over eight years of experience working for architecture and property development and management firms. She is responsible for the firm’s marketing and communications efforts including brand development, qualifications and proposal strategy, and collateral material concepts. With a master’s degree in English from San Francisco State University, Stephanie is passionate about developing articulate and thoughtful communications.
My goal as an associate is to expand and strengthen our communication efforts, both internally and externally. I’m excited to work with leadership and my colleagues in finding new ways to share work and ideas, encouraging cross-pollination of ideas in the office, and engaging with a wider audience in our community. The more we can share and connect with each other, the more inspired and successful we will all be.
