Junior Interior Designer

We are currently seeking a talented Junior Interior Designer to join our team. This creative individual will work closely with the Director of Interior Design and will provide design, documentation, and materials selection support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on projects of various types from conceptual design to construction administration.
  • Assist team with drawing, coordinating, and documenting interior drawings, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Assist on selection and documentation of furniture systems and equipment.
  • Develop high-quality visualizations of interior environments, in a variety of styles, with focus on both photo-realistic renderings and sketch or hand-drawn renderings.
  • Coordinate and participate on interior product presentations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • Two to three years of professional experience utilizing Revit, Autodesk 3D Max, Vray, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Lumion 3D software.
  • Professional experience in tenant improvements, mixed-use, educational and/or higher education design.

Project Architect / Project Manager

Soderstrom Architects is looking for a licensed project architect, or a project manager, with 4-10 years of experience. The candidate we are looking for is someone with a great attitude, aptitude, and work ethic that fit with our values.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture, minimum.
  • Four years relevant professional experience, minimum.
  • Construction document production experience.
  • Experience with jurisdictional code requirements.
  • Experience with construction administration.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Preferences

  • Two to three years of professional experience utilizing Revit, Autodesk 3D Max, Vray, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Lumion 3D software
  • LEED AP accredited.

Architectural Intern

Always looking for talent, we are currently seeking Architectural Interns to join our team. Interns form a critical element of our office, providing energy, inspiration and passion to projects. We reward that passion with exposure to all aspects of design, encouraging collaboration and creativity, while also supporting technical advancement and skill building.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop presentation and display materials under direction of Project Manager/Architect, and develop technical design solutions for specific areas of project as determined by Project Manager/Architect.
  • Present design solutions in-house and to others as required and develop project specification data for new structure or renovation projects applying knowledge of basic structural and site design, construction
  • Develop high-quality visualizations of building exterior and interior environments, in a variety of styles with focus on both photo-realistic renderings and sketch or hand-drawn renderings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Two to three years of professional experience utilizing Revit, Autodesk 3D Max, Vray, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Lumion 3D software.
  • Professional experience with design of heathcare, mixed-use, educational and/or higher ed buildings.
  • Professional experience with energy-efficient design for commercial buildings.
  • Professional five-year Bachelors degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two years post-bachelors progressive experience as an Architectural Intern, Junior Architect, Designer, Renderer, or similar position.
