Soderstrom Architects is currently seeking an individual with a background in accounting and HR to assist with AR and AP related tasks and administration of employee benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • This person will work directly under the company’s financial controller and will perform a variety of accounting and employee benefits activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with Deltek accounting software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Payroll software and MS Office is also needed.

Architectural Designer

Soderstrom Architects is currently seeking an Architectural Designer with two to five years of experience to join our team. Designers form a critical element of our office, providing energy, inspiration, and passion to our projects. We provide exposure to all aspects of design, encourage collaboration and creativity, and support technical advancement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create presentation and display materials under the direction of the Project Manager/Architect.
  • Develop technical design solutions for specific areas of the project.
  • Present design solutions to the project team.
  • Produce project specification data for new structures or renovation projects, applying basic architectural, structural, site design, and construction knowledge.
  • Develop visualizations of building exterior and interior environments, in a variety of styles with a focus on both photo-realistic renderings and hand-drawn renderings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Two to five years of professional experience as an architectural designer or similar position.
  • Two years minimum experience utilizing Revit. Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Professional experience with the design of educational, commercial, and/or civic buildings.
  • Professional experience with energy-efficient design preferred.
  • Professional five-year bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, or a master’s degree in the same.

  • Production of Construction Documents.
  • Project review per jurisdictional code requirements.
  • Construction administration.
  • Assist Project Manager/Architect or Project Principal with client interactions.
  • Participate with the project team on the development of design solutions.

  • Five to eight years of professional experience as an architectural designer or similar position.

  • Professional experience with energy-efficient design.

  • Architectural license preferred.
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred.
