Internship – Net Zero Emerging Leaders

Soderstrom is seeking a part-time intern with a passion for architecture and sustainability and experience with graphic design tools.

This 12-week internship is the subject of Energy Trust’s Net Zero Emerging Leaders Internship Grant, which begins in January 2025 and concludes with a presentation on April 3, 2025 by each of Portland’s Net Zero Emerging Leadership interns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This role involves assisting with the entry of project data into AIA’s Design Data Exchange (DDx) reporting tool to track our progress towards our AIA 2030 Commitment. Additionally, the intern may contribute to the ongoing development of our sustainability action plan and create supporting graphics. Most importantly, we are seeking someone eager to explore carbon-neutral buildings and encourage the office to further prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency.

Experience working on energy modeling tools

Compensation

$25/hour
Minimum 12 hours per week, up to 24 hours per week, depending on candidate’s availability

Office located in the Pearl District, with hybrid remote work (thee days weekly in office)
