Radiation Oncology Center
To upgrade CPH’s Radiation Oncology department, Soderstrom designed renovations and additions including new CT, MRI, PET CT, X-ray(s), fluoroscopy, nuc med, and ultrasound. The program includes a concrete vault housing a new linear accelerator, office space and staff amenities, an exam room, a procedure room, a soiled utility space, and an inviting lobby and reception area. The design of the building exterior complements the existing CPH facilities. Elements such as the canopy, the exterior skin, and the articulation of fenestration and clerestory space were borrowed from the Mountain Tower addition and previous remodels to provide a seamless appearance to the new addition. This project was designed and constructed on an accelerated schedule.
