A New Home Base
for Highway Maintenance
Meacham Maintenance Station
The new Maintenance Facility for ODOT is located about ½ hour SE of Pendleton, OR, and serves one of the steepest and coldest hills along I-84. Soderstrom worked with Crow Engineering on the project, which consists of a 27,000 SF maintenance and dispatch facility for snow plows and support vehicles with space for crews and training, a 7,500 SF storage facility, a fuel island, and a salt/gravel shed. The facility incorporates heated slabs both inside the maintenance facility and full exterior perimeter apron to aid in snow removal. The maintenance station structure is composed of insulated metal panels over a metal brace frame.
