Bottling Brilliance— Purposeful Design for Growth
Straightaway Cocktails Distillery & Production Facility
Facing rapid growth and national recognition, Straightaway Cocktails needed a larger facility to keep up—so they expanded to a 44,000-square-foot distillery and production warehouse in Tualatin, OR. Tenant improvements include a dozen distilling tanks, an automated bottling line, and ample rack storage. The building is partitioned into key areas: a manufacturing room for blending, bottling, and canning drinks; a warehouse for finished products; and a separate warehouse for ingredients and packaging materials. Additional features include a combined office and dedicated lab space with cold storage, as well as a conference room. The new facility is designed to produce approximately 50,000 gallons, with flexible space planning to accommodate phased growth. Soderstrom was responsible for the design of all production spaces and overall project coordination.
